There are three concepts we believe are foundational to a child’s development: Nature, Life, and Play.
風と花デイケアでは「自然」「生活」「遊び」の3つを基本に
のびのびと育つ子どもたちの心と体をサポートします。

Nature 自然

Children experience changing weather and seasons.
季節や天気の変化を知る

Children are encouraged to connect with the natural world by engaging with materials such as wood, sand, leaves, flowers, and water.
木、砂、葉、花、水など自然の素材を使って自然を感じる

Creating artworks using recyclable materials such as discarded items, and cultivating flowers and vegetables using compost, leads to contemplation about the Earth.
再利用できる廃材などを使ってアートワークをしたり、コンポストを使って花や野菜の栽培をして、地球について考える

Life 生活

We believe it’s important to cultivate an environment for self-learning.
生活のことで自分でできることをやってみる

Every child should have the freedom to express their own feelings and thoughts

and to adopt a healthy lifestyle through physical activity and play.

Discovering through play

Outdoors: Children participate in physical activities such as using slides, trampolines, jumping ropes, and kids' bikes. They also enjoy sensory-based experiences with sand, clay, and natural items like leaves, branches, stones, etc, as well as water and bubbles. During the summer, they can enjoy gardening.

外での遊び:すべり台、トランポリン、なわとび、キッズバイクなどで体を動かして遊んだり、砂や粘土、自然のもの(葉、石、木の枝など)や水、泡などの感触を楽しむ遊びも用意しています。夏の間は子どもたちが自分で花や野菜のたねや苗を植えて、育てて食べることを楽しんでいます。

Indoors: We set up age-appropriate educational toys. We use projectors and light tables for exploring light and shade. They can also enjoy artwork, singing, yoga, and dancing.

室内での遊び:年齢に合わせた教育的なおもちゃを用意しています。光と影を使った探究的な遊びを展開するためのプロジェクターや光るボードもあります。他にはアートワークをしたり歌、ヨガ、ダンスなど子どもの興味に合わせてカリキュラムが作られます。

For children under 3 years old: We place importance on exposing them to various materials, colors, and shapes to foster their curiosity. As they begin to express themselves through words and behavior, we believe that various ideas and thoughts will emerge.

3歳以下の子どもは色々な素材に触れ、色や形で遊ぶことで感覚が刺激され、好奇心を育てられます。自分の言葉や態度で気持ちを表現できるようになった時にそれまでの経験やアイディアは更に膨らむと信じて私たちは色々な素材を用意しています。

For children aged 3 years and older: we customize our curriculum to align with their interests, fostering continued exploration. By facilitating free play, we establish an environment that nurtures skills vital for future life. This includes engaging with nature, exploring science, and delving into math concepts such as observing animals and plants, understanding numbers, quantities, and shapes, as well as exploring light and shadow. From playing with friends, children enjoy interacting and learning, and sometimes they collaborate on various activities.

3歳以上の子どもは子どもの興味、好奇心に合わせてカリキュラムが作られ「どうして?」「なぜ?」を一緒に考え、調べて探究します。それは時には小さな疑問からプロジェクトに発展します。自由に遊ぶ中で自然、数や量、形、影と光について学んだり、生き物を見たり触れることで感性を養います。また友達と過ごす中で、交流を楽しみ、時には一緒に共同作業を行います。

Japanese will be primarily used to communicate.
We have many Japanese toys and children’s books and
we sing many Japanese songs!

また、日本語・日本の文化に親しみながら楽しく学べるよう
様々な日本語の絵本や歌、 玩具を揃えています。


At Kaze to Hana Daycare, our goal is to provide support to Japanese families or those with a Japanese background living in the U.S. We also strive to introduce the beauty of Japanese culture, customs, and the intricacies of the Japanese language to the local community.
Regardless of a child's Japanese proficiency,
we welcome families and children of any background.

地域の人々に日本の文化や習慣の素晴らしさ、日本語を伝えることも目標としています。
お子さんがどれくらい日本語を理解するか関係なく、
どんな国籍やバックグラウンドの家族やお子さんも歓迎します。
